it feels like the recognition for my status as a crafter has finally gone global. woohoo!

more patterns giveaway from floral blossom

hi, i have good news for those who wants to receive patterns giveaway from floral blossom.

few days ago dona from sewing smiles of smiles contacted me and asked if i would be interested in sponsoring a giveaway on her blog. of course i said yes. she has this very amazing blog and she has the biggest heart in helping to seek charities for the children at the children's hospital where she lives.

dona is one of my best customer, and she told me once this story about one little boy that has been very sick and how the people at the hospital couldn't get him to smile no matter what they did until they showed him the little monster finger puppets that dona made for him. now he has the biggest smile every time he plays with the puppets. i was so touched and happy to know that my patterns (through dona's able hands) could bring back the smiles of the children at the hospital.

a lot had happened since my last post here. bad blogger, bad blogger. here's some worth blogging stories.

my little girl turned 11 on june 15th. we had a small birthday party at the day care center and gave away some goody bags to her friends and had a small lunch together.

i made these key chain princess dolls for a friend’s niece’s birthday last month. i dressed the princesses with pink dress and a letter ‘J’ on the blouse. i think they turned out beautiful.

my doggies were featured in a treasury list! the title is 'oh so cute' curated by northcountryglass. this treasury list are very straightforward, simply a collection of adorable animals and cute things found on etsy world. you animal lover will love it.

today my finger puppets was featured in another treasury list. this time it's called 'all things felt' curated by rocketliv. the rest of the items listed there all are colorful and cute. i like them! thanks to rocketliv, especially for letting me know that my item was added to her treasury.

actually i don't always receive the notification from a curator everytime an item from my shop was added to his/her treasury list. somehow the notification does not always appear in my etsy's activity feed, and it's not easy to use the search feature in etsy to find out whether our items were featured in someone's treasury list (the search engine might mixed-up my shop's name with an item's title). that is why i found the craft cult website very useful.

anyway, this treasury list thingy is quite interesting. i might want to create my own treasury list one day.

this is the second time my item was featured in a hand-related-theme treasury list. i think now my hand is quite famous in the virtual world :)

i have just found out how to check whether your items have been featured in any treasury list on etsy. just go to craft cult website and you can get widgets for your etsy shop and treasury list.

it's so cool. i didn't know that my items have been featured in 6 treasury lists so far! whoa... although none of them have ever made it to the front page of etsy, still... it was such an honour for floral blossom shop. thank you!
